Construction - Procurement – Commercial Solicitor
(Associate)
The Role
You will be a qualified Solicitor with approx. 1 year + experience gained within Construction, Procurement or Commercial Law with a blend of contentious and non-contentious training. However, variable levels of PQE will be considered as quality of experience as well as duration of qualification will be taken into account. Candidates with a real interest in our core areas are likely to excel however, transferable skill sets will be recognised.
Your experience will be consistent with that of a large or niche practice and you will ideally be familiar with construction law, experience of related documents and contracts to include JCT, NEC, Bonds/Guarantees and Warranties.
The quality of our work remains at the very height of the legal market and sees us working collaboratively with clients in NI, ROI and E&W. You will be expected to provide high levels of client care to ensure effective delivery of the firms dedicated service. Visibility when it comes to attending events, speaking at seminars, corporate social activity and business awards will be expected.
The role will offer a blend of:

Contentious and non-contentious construction and/or procurement law matters;

Construction dispute management including litigation, mediation, adjudication, arbitration and other ADR processes;

Contract drafting, negotiation and advice;

Claims analysis and negotiation;

Procurement processes, challenges and EU procurement law issues.
Your experience will ideally demonstrate familiarity with providing sound legal and practical industry advice to a range of clients and be at ease when drafting and reviewing commercial contracts. You will ideally have had exposure to a significant Litigation caseload.
